The Forecastle Music Festival has been a fixture for as long as I can remember. Over two decades, it evolved from a small community event into one of America’s top-rated music festivals, drawing up to 75,000 attendees from around the world.
In 2017, AC Entertainment, Forecastle’s parent company at the time, approached me to assist with the event’s poster and branding. Over the next two years, I collaborated closely with the Forecastle team to breathe new life into their brand through illustration. The outcome was a vibrant, nautical-themed world filled with creatures, critters, and Kentucky lore.
Below is a selection of the work I created during that time.
Banjo-Pickin' Bass and a nod to bourbon country.
The Banjo-Pickin' Bass made it to the main stage!
The Forecastle Captain and Skellyfish.
The talented crew at OSRS turned the Forecastle Captain into a mural in downtown Louisville.

The Belle of Louisville and Skelly Mermaid.
Skelly Mermaid was featured throughout the festival on signage and merch.
The Hunter Bat and Mystic Distiller.
Forecastle Skull used for merch.
Wheat paste promotional posters.
Cell animation that I probably spent way too much time on—but it was a blast!
